Feel rejuvinerated

I just got back from a week long vacation along the countryside of north Gujarat. I've always loved going back to my roots; but this time I travelled some centuries back. We went to Patan, Mehsana and Khambat; these are our pilgrim centres with hamlets of the saints who built the foundation of our community in India some 650 years ago.
Driving through the muddy roads, feeling the cool breeze of the green fields around, women with water pots, farmers ploughing fields, haystacks lying around, cowdung smell, small waterbodies, mud huts, camel rides............they make me feel very proud of being an Indian. I was so amazed that I just travelled around 100 kms away and the culture, the I managed to live each and every moment I spent as I really needed this trip at this phase of my life.
Visiting the hamlets made me feel so light headed (and hearted) as if, I was at some spa. I could feel positive energies around me, a sense of feeling that there is someone arond taking care of me. It gave a very strong feeling that 'things' are gonna be great from hereon, InshAllah. And ya, it has bought me closer to God and His messengers.
So, please dont feel shocked if you find me using more urdu words, or talking about Islam.
Oh, such a memorable trip! No spas, no pubs, no hillstations, no US......just in the midst of eternal peace.

Its funny how you use US in the comparison "No spas, no pubs, no hill-stations, no US". The funnier part is that it actually fits! This is reflective of our culture :)

Also talking of US, you can go from Ohio to Florida to California (most parts) and it all looks the same. The roads might get a little wider, and streets a little cleaner; but overall it feels the same. The same brands, similar houses, same food and same clothes. I love the diversity of India!
